Fitting Berlin’s underground scene
Founded in 1991, Tresor is one of Berlin’s most iconic nightclubs and a cornerstone of the global techno scene. Born in the vault of a former department store in post-reunification Berlin, it quickly became a symbol of underground culture — raw, industrial, and fiercely independent. Over the decades, Tresor has evolved into a cultural institution, with its own record label and a reputation for pushing electronic music and art forward without compromise. Tresor has long stood at the intersection of music, culture, and counterculture. With a legacy rooted in raw, industrial spaces and uncompromising sound, it was the perfect partner to debut Assembly’s latest production innovation: the Fade Out Wash.
The Project
Following a series of successful merch collaborations with the likes of Carhartt among others, the team at Tresor wanted to create a limited-edition garment that materialized their underground aesthetics and industrial background. Aimed at debuting the pre-orders during select events, Tresor perpetuates its iconic status by staying relevantly close to its community that keeps on growing after so many years.
Taking exclusivity and the club's trademark visual identity, we closely worked with the Tresor team to provide them something as unique as they had envisioned. We had been working on our Fade Out Wash for several months, meticulously testing washes and garment reactions to achieve the perfect level of distress that balances equal proportions of wearability and coolness. This was the perfect medium to launch our new technique.
Tresor knows the importance of staying close to its community, one that values individuality, creativity and norm-defying standards. Merch is a way of uniting that community through a shared love of music and a project that transcends age, gender, and ethnicity. In tune with the high-quality standards Tresor has built over the decades, we knew we had to deliver a product that was not only unique, but also very high quality.
Our Classic Longsleeve 270 in true black was the chosen foundation, due to its casual, easy-fitting nature. The Fade Out Wash carried out with Eco Stones and Oeko-Tex fluids provided a worn-in effect, effortlessly faded, and created one-of-a-kind items with slightly different distress throughout.

Tresor customized the Classic Longsleeve 270 in True Black dye with a Fade Out Wash.
A classic fit Longsleeve with a 5cm side slit and regular sleeve. The fabric is knit with a specially developed two-ply, twisted yarn to achieve its heavy weight and unique density.
